Mindy Propper joined The Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), a national network of charter schools in December of 2009. Working closely with key groups at the KIPP Foundation, Mindy leads a team focused on providing seamless support to the network’s regions and schools to enable rapid and sustainable growth. Mindy transitioned to the non-profit sector after 25 years of practice as a consultant with KPMG Consulting (BearingPoint), where Mindy was Senior Vice President and Managing Director in the firm’s Financial Services Practice and led the New York office. She has consulted with global financial institutions formulating and assisting in the implementation of strategic business plans, assessing customer management approaches and practices and directing large-scale performance improvement and merger and integration projects. Mindy was the global recipient of Top 200 Financial Services Consultant (2005, 2006).
No stranger to the non-profit world, Mindy has served on several prestigious boards, providing professional and financial development including Theatreworks USA. Most recently, Mindy was the COO of The LEAGUE, a school and web-based network that teaches and empowers students to actively participate in community service. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Fordham University and earned her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College.
