Janey Ahn has been practicing law for over 20 years and is the Head of the US Registered Funds Legal team at BlackRock, which includes mutual funds, closed-end funds, retail alternative products and actively managed ETFs. She also leads the legal team supporting BlackRock’s US Wealth Advisory business, including retail separately managed accounts and model portfolios. Prior to BlackRock, Janey was part of the asset management and capital markets practices at two New York law firms, Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Shearman & Sterling.
Janey earned her A.B. in the School of Public and International Affairs with minors in East Asian Studies and Environmental Studies at Princeton University and her J.D. at Columbia Law School. She lives in Rye, NY with her husband and three children.
